…Irene construye su libro antes destruido y alimenta su visi\u00f3n positiva y m\u00ednimal , recuperando la ense\u00f1anza que Mastuo Basho da a su disc\u00edpulo para construir un haik\u00fa: \u201cno digas que arrancando las alas a la lib\u00e9lula tendr\u00e1s un estambre rojo, a\u00f1ade alas al estambre rojo y tendr\u00e1s una lib\u00e9lula\u201d. Irene est\u00e1 construyendo un libro vital en un tiempo irreal.<\/span><\/p>\n

La narraci\u00f3n se revela enigm\u00e1tica, la margarita deshojada vuelve a su ser y el diario personal se recompone para volver a empezar de nuevo: acci\u00f3n, destrucci\u00f3n, pasado, reconstrucci\u00f3n, reencarnaci\u00f3n y otra vez a empezar. El video de Irene plantea el bucle de la vida, la recreaci\u00f3n en loop de una existencia ef\u00edmera, Irene presenta un alegato min\u00fasculo y efectivo del retorno eterno, tambi\u00e9n de un atomismo de la belleza, del instinto de conservaci\u00f3n de las palabras y de su propio lenguaje y bagaje vital. STATEMENT<\/span><\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s del videoarte y de mis series fotogr\u00e1ficas presento generalmente mujeres en relaciones diferentes con la soledad: exploraci\u00f3n, deseo, melancol\u00eda. Todo desde un punto autorreferencial, fruto de mi posici\u00f3n frente al mundo. Me interesa el misterio, la privacidad, la reflexi\u00f3n sobre la naturaleza, y el paisaje. Me mantengo lejos de toda personalizaci\u00f3n, por eso rara vez se reconoce un rostro en mi obra. En com\u00fan todo mi trabajo art\u00edstico se remite a la naturaleza como \u00abel todo\u00bb al que pertenecemos.<\/span><\/p>\n

La luz es un aspecto importante de mis im\u00e1genes, por eso trabajo en los pa\u00edses del norte de Europa mayoritariamente; me inspira esa luz azul, tamizada, que envuelve el paisaje. Siempre me refugio en los atardeceres tard\u00edos o los anocheceres tempranos, me centro en lo liminal, (ocupar una posici\u00f3n de un momento inicial de un proceso, o estar en ambos lados de un l\u00edmite o umbral). Es decir, entre el d\u00eda y la noche, entre la tranquilidad y la inquietud, los opuestos que se desvanecen. No hay l\u00edmites. S\u00f3lo caminos, puentes, porque todo fluye.<\/span><\/td>\n

Irene Cruz constructs her book before destroyed and feeds her positive and minimal vision, recovering the lessons that Mastuo Basho gives to his disciple in order to construct a haiku: \u201cdo not say that tearing off the wings of a dragonfly you will have a red stamen, add wings to the red stamen and you will have a dragonfly\u201d. Irene is constructing a vital book in an unreal time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The narrative reveals itself enigmatic, the daisy with its petals pulled off becomes itself again and the personal diary mends itself in order to start over again: action, destruction, past, reconstruction, reincarnation and back to the beginning. Irene\u2019s video sets out the loop of life, the looping recreation of an ephemeral existence, Irene presents a tiny and effective statement of the eternal return, of an atomism of beauty as well, of the instinct of preservation of words and of her own language and vital knowledge. (Text written by Fernando Garc\u00eda Malmierca, Curator)<\/span><\/p>\n

STATEMENT<\/span><\/p>\n

Through my video art and photographic series I usually present women in different relationships with loneliness: exploration, desire, melancholy. All from a self-referential viewpoint, the result of my position before the world. I’m interested in mystery, privacy, reflection on nature and the landscape. I stay away from all personalization, therefore one can rarely recognize a face in my work. My artistic work refers to nature as \u00abwhole\u00bb to which we belong.<\/span>
\n Light is an important aspect of my images, so I mostly work in northern European countries; their blue, sifted light enveloping the landscape inspires me. I always take refuge in late sunsets or early sunrises, I focus on the liminal, (occupying the position of the initial stage of a process, or being on both sides of a limit or threshold). That is, between day and night, between tranquility and restlessness, opposites vanish. There are no limits. Only roads, bridges, because everything flows.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
