El inter\u00e9s principal de los espantap\u00e1jaros reside en la paradoja de interpretar, de un modo naif, la figura humana dirigi\u00e9ndose a un grupo de espectadores tan sorprendente como puedan ser las aves, constituyendo uno de los fen\u00f3menos m\u00e1s transversales del Art Brut a lo largo del tiempo y el espacio, la historia, la antropolog\u00eda e incluso la ciencia, y sorprendentemente poco estudiado tanto por \u00e9stos como por la est\u00e9tica y las artes. En esta versi\u00f3n del trabajo, realizada ex-profeso para este certamen, nos hemos basado en las experiencias de la escucha del sonido y el silencio de John Cage, referenciando con el t\u00edtulo el libro de entrevistas del mismo t\u00edtulo (\u201cPour les oiseaux\u201d<\/i>, por Daniel Charles) y las hemos relacionado con el momento de contemplaci\u00f3n que suponen sus movimientos ondeando al viento: trapos, cintas, discos CD, etc.. Hemos separado los momentos de escucha de los de contemplaci\u00f3n visual, tanto para enfatizar su especificidad como la paradoja de su separaci\u00f3n, pues esos discos que se crearon para ser escuchados son ahora simples objetos visuales (y silentes, insistimos) para ahuyentar a los p\u00e1jaros, y con ellos su canto.<\/span><\/td>\nThe main interest of the scarecrows lies in the paradox of interpreting, in a naive way, a human character addressing an unusual group of spectators such as birds, constituting one of the most transversal phenomena of Art Brut across time and space, history, anthropology and even science, and a surprisingly little-studied subject both by them and by aesthetics and the arts. In this version of the work, specifically made for this exhibition, we have drawn inspiration from John Cage\u2019s experiences of listening to sound and silence, quoting in the title the book of interviews entitled <\/span>\u201cPour les oiseaux\u201d<\/i> by Daniel Charles and we have connected these experiences to the contemplation time related to the movements of the scarecrows in the wind: rags, tapes, CDs, etc… We split the sound from visual contemplation to emphasize their specificity and the paradox of their separation, because those records that were created to be heard are now simple visual objects (silent, we insist) used to scare away birds, and with them their singing.<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
