FIRE PIT (BLOCKS)<\/b>  <\/i><\/p>\n

El v\u00eddeo fire pit (bloks) muestra el proceso de cocci\u00f3n de bloques de arcilla a trav\u00e9s del m\u00e9todo tradicional del horno de pozo realizado directamente en el paisaje. Se excava un hoyo en la tierra, se llena de serr\u00edn y se colocan en su interior los objetos para cocerlos durante el transcurso de una noche. Durante el proceso de cocci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 una performance vocal alrededor de la medianoche. La grabaci\u00f3n del sonido de este acto performativo y ritual se incluye en el v\u00eddeo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nSTATEMENT<\/span>
\nLa totalidad de las obras constituye un conjunto coherente a trav\u00e9s de las relaciones internas y de la repetici\u00f3n. Cuando los conceptos se transforman en objetos f\u00edsicos, obtienen ciertas propiedades formales. Mediante la creaci\u00f3n de oposiciones formales se construye un campo en el que posibilidades precisas se hacen sustanciales. Por un lado esto implica infinita formalidad y por otra parte, los objetos y procesos concretos se extraen de este m\u00e9todo. Los procesos y experimentos que caracterizaon un trabajo crean ciertas interpretaciones, elementos expresivos o incluso narrativas dentro de la obra. No es mi intenci\u00f3n se\u00f1alarlos, m\u00e1s bien prendo observar sus consecuencias.<\/span><\/td>\n

The video fire pit (blocks) shows the firing process of earth blocks through the traditional method of a fire pit in the landscape. A hole is dug, filled with sawdust and within it the objects are placed to be fired during the course of a night. During the firing process a humming\/singing performance took place around midnight. The live sound recording of this ritualistic, performative act is included in the sound sequence of the video.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nSTATEMENT<\/span>
\nThe totality of the works constitutes a coherent whole through internal relationships and repetition. When formal concepts are transformed into physical objects, they obtain certain formal properties.By creating formal oppositions a field is constructed in which precise possibilities become substantial. On the one hand this implies infinite formality, on the other hand, concrete objects and processes are extracted from this method. The processes and experiments that make a work specific create certain interpretations, expressive elements or even narratives within the work. It is not my intention to point those out, but rather to look at the consequences of them.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
